The elegant Victorian pier is a wonderful source of entertainment complete with all the usual appeal of: amusement arcades, shops, a bingo hall and plenty of eating and drinking opportunities and even a nightclub. Its latest attraction is the newly restored Camera Obscura that allows visitors to get great views of their surroundings through a full 360 degrees.
For a great day out for the kids take a trip out to the Seven Sisters Sheep Centre, recently voted ‘Best Family Attraction in Sussex’ by The Good Britain Guide. Here you’ll find the world’s largest collection of different breeds of sheep. Time your visit right and you can even delight in bottle-feeding the lambs before satisfying your own appetite at the centre’s tearoom.
Another award-winning attraction is the Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway Adventure Park. Adults and children alike can climb on board this scaled down diesel or steam train for a picturesque journey around the Adventure Park. After the ride you can then visit the nature trail, maze and picnic areas in your own time, under your own steam.
A great place for the whole family to visit is Fort Fun, a two-acre theme park. Attractions here include Adventure Golf, a Formula One karting area, as well as a selection of white-knuckle rides such as the thrilling Bat Ride.
